Mostly this week has been comprised of school work. A couple of my roommates and I went out Friday night to a SUPER cool cocktail bar that was 50s theme. They have a wide array of performers from singers to dancers to comedians. Here's a little (very loud) footage of a girl singing Queen!
The highlight of this whole trip so far has been this day. I got up around 9, ate breakfast at the hotel, and headed to the Berliner Dom for church. It's about a 12 minute walk from my hostel. It was very windy and cold out, but still sunny and I could hear the church bells CLEARLY the minute I walked outside. I cant even put the place into words. It is just stunning. I will let the pictures speak for themselves. They had headsets that translated the service into English. Service started at 10am and was over around 11:15, even with two baptisms!
I took the tour of the place after service. First around the main area, then all the way up 270 steps to the dome, and finally all the way down to the crypts. I took a video of the pre-service music. They had the brass ensemble playing today and an AMAZING guest organist.

FUN FACT: There's 7,269 pipes on that organ!
FUN FACT: In the crypt, there are many princes and princesses. Most of their crowns are on top of their coffin! I thought that was really cool. Total 94 coffins over 5 centuries, mostly royalty or church officials.
After the tour was over, I took the long way home through the art and antique market. There was a guy doing the crystal glass music thing (I really have no idea the appropriate name for it).

It was a great time. Lots of interesting vendors and some really good bratwurst.
Tomorrow we go to Potsdam as a group. It'll be cool to see a different city! Then on Wednesday our history teacher is taking us to a museum. I'll update again soon! I hope everyone in the US of A (and DR) is doing well!
